BGOLDN’s three-tier, community-driven approach aims to meet students' immediate nutritional needs, provide low-income families with a stable source of fresh food, and ultimately end cycles of hunger in Golden, Colorado.

Tier 1 Intervention: Meeting students' immediate nutritional needs

BGOLDN works closely with liaisons at our local partner schools to understand and meet the needs of food-insecure students. Depending on the information disclosed by a liaison, BGOLDN's support can take a variety of forms, from grocery store gift cards to emergency food boxes assembled at our Fresh Food Pantry.

In addition to these individualized interventions, BGOLDN also provides nutritious, kid-friendly snacks to liaisons and educators at our highest need partner schools. These snacks are distributed to students to fuel their growth and development throughout the day.

Tier 2 Intervention: Providing families with a stable source of affordable, fresh food

BGOLDN’s Fresh Food Pantry is open Tuesday through Friday and serves more than 350 families each month. Our team prioritizes the procurement and distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, poultry, meat, and dairy—sourcing from Colorado-based growers and purveyors whenever possible.

Home delivery is available. If you are unable to visit the pantry due to your work schedule or lack of transportation, please fill out this application and we’ll be in touch.
