Organization Background:

BGOLDN supports food-insecure students and families of Golden, Colorado through innovative programs and partnerships. We're looking for an experienced Manager of Marketing and Development to join our team and help us accomplish our overall mission to increase food security in the Golden community. This position will play an integral role within the organization, collaborating with our Executive Director to execute targeted development efforts and manage relationships vital to achieving our annual goals.

Position Description:

The Manager of Marketing and Development is an integral part of the success of BGOLDN. This role is in charge of identifying community engagement opportunities, creating growth strategies, aligning internal and external communications, creating and managing fundraising efforts, coordinating the grants process, and building local and national partnerships. This role works cross-functionally and collaboratively to support and embrace BGOLDN’s mission to increase food security in the Golden community through innovative partnerships and programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing and Communications

  • Manage BGOLDN’s communications and brand identity as it relates to the vision and mission of the organization. Stewards all collateral and marketing materials to assure brand consistency.

  • Develop and execute an annual strategic marketing plan for the calendar year that delivers improved results and increased fundraising per yearly fundraising goals.

  • In collaboration with the Communications Manager, create digital marketing strategies to ensure growth across social media channels, newsletter campaigns, PR opportunities, advertising, and our website. This includes project managing Content, Photography, Videography, Cadence and Influencers.

  • Drive successful initiatives that lead to increased brand awareness and donations.

Partnerships

  • Manage overall strategy, relationships, and collaborative efforts with business partners, understanding goals to curate mutually beneficial strategies for BGOLDN and these partners.

  • Identify and onboard new strategic partnerships on an annual basis.

  • Seek and support 2 to 4 partner-driven events in collaboration with Golden businesses or organizations.

Development

  • Create and execute 2 major BGOLDN annual fundraiser events. These efforts will be supported by the Executive Director and Fundraising Committee.

  • Build and manage an annual strategic fundraising plan, collaborating with the Executive Directors to set goals related to fundraising campaigns and efforts.

  • Curate strategic fundraising campaigns to ensure successful execution and meet set goals. This includes managing Colorado Gives Day, Giving Tuesday, Year-end campaign and social media fundraising campaigns throughout the year.

  • Support annual grant efforts as defined by the Executive Director.

Grant Coordination

  • Coordinate and manage grant’s team including grant calendar coordination, submissions and the research of new grants.

  • Participate in writing grants in collaboration with the grants team.

Tracking and Reporting

  • Manage B

  • GOLDN’s CRM platform and assure utilization across staff and Board. Increases in Digital Marketing Measurables: Increase in Followers, Reach and Engagement.

  • Monthly Partnership Fundraising Initiatives

  • 2 Annual Fundraising Events

  • Partner-Related Efforts and Events

  • Fundraising campaigns; Colorado Gives Day, Year-end Giving Campaign, and general campaigns as they align with the strategic marketing and development plan.

Skills Required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or 5+ years of experience in managing marketing and fundraising campaigns.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Experience in creating and managing fundraising campaigns

  • Strong understanding of Social Media Platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube

  • Comfortable with designing in Canva or Illustrator is a plus

  • Familiarity with e-newsletter platforms

  • Ability to lift 30lbs and engage in event set up and take down

  • Available for evenings and weekends as needed
